PREPARED WITH LOUD LOVE FOR

SmileTogetherLive.com

VetTogether.com
SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMZATION (SEO) INITIAL ASSESSMENT:
CURRENT PROBLEM:
After running an audit of VetTogether.com, it basically faces the same major problem that SmileTogetherLive faces: Both were designed to look and function okay, but neither were designed to be effectively searched.
Neither website is ranking in Search (primarily Google) for key Search terms, including the brand names of both: “Smile Together” and “Vet Together”. For “Vet Together”, LinkedIn is top result.
- WHY: Sites are too thin with content to be recognized by Google and rank for desired search terms
- WHY: Sites were never optimized with basic SEO principles to begin with. For example, the Page Titles and Meta information is either incomplete or incorrect for both sites. Not only does this hurt your search results, but credibility with your customers is jeopardized when the content isn’t complete or correct.
- WHY: The Smile Together Brand competes heavily in Search with an established non-profit: smiletogether.gives, so we’ll need to disrupt that which can be challenging. Similarly, “vet” and “together” are both common terms, so ranking for them outright will take time and effort (vs ranking for more specialized names – i.e.: Raising Caines, Nordstrom, Nike, etc.)
- WHY: Sites need supporting social media content
- WHY: Sites lack of link authority sitewide – credible inbound/outbound links
Yeah, they're indexed but...
Both sites are indexed with Google (meaning they're searchable), but just barely...and with incomplete page title info:

LET'S FIX IT!

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS (WHAT WOULD RYAN DO?):
Rebuild both sites from scratch in WordPress with responsive custom Elementor framework and AIOSEO PRO software kit.
WHY: Sometimes its best to start over, especially where you really don’t have a lot of content on either site right now that’s being productive for you. I could recreate both sites in 3 business days or less on the new framework and roll them out so that it doesn’t disrupt anything and then we can start building new productive content on top of them. Same domains. SmileTogetherLive.com and VetTogether.com … unless you have a reason you want to change either. Now would be the time, otherwise I would just need access to your domain registry accounts (GoDaddy?) to point the current domains to the new sites when they’re ready. NOTE: If you guys have future plans to add more conference lanes and the idea is to keep them all branded with the “_____ Together” theme, you might want to add “live” to the end of VT.com and all future lanes, both for branding consistency and SEO strategy.
WHY: It’s cost-effective. You’re likely paying around $20/year for each domain name. That won’t change. I don’t know what you’re paying for site hosting and security, but a lot of times I’ll save you money on that with Elementor Cloud Pro (my agency hosting account with them). I never mark up web hosting fees. They charge me $200/year to keep a website online with HTTPS, so I just pass that along to you on an invoice once/year.
WHY: Little-to-no disruption to what you’re currently doing. This puts your initial hard costs at ~$400 to move the sites over to WordPress and get the current content recreated. Again, that’s about a 3-business-day project for me to complete. The current sites would stay live until everything is switched over. I wouldn’t charge you any of my time to get the sites resituated to this point.
WHY: WordPress is the CMS standard, especially when it comes to getting Search results. At some point down the line, if I need to hand the site off to a staffer, WordPress usually makes for an easy transition there. A lot of people know it and it’s relatively simple to learn.
With both sites now operating on WordPress with custom Elementor, this is where my real work comes in:
WHAT NEXT: Work with Smile Together and Vet Together to develop a list of keyword search phrases that are relevant to both industries (i.e. “dental conferences”, “dental conferences in Nebraska”, “Hosted Veterinary Conferences”, etc. … key phrases beyond just “Smile Together” and “Vet Together”)
WHAT NEXT: Generate web page copy, graphics and video based around those search terms. Place on websites and in Social Media platforms
WHAT NEXT: I’ve invested thousands of dollars into SEO tools so that you don’t have to. I’ll install an instance of “AIOSEO Pro” behind the site where I use it to ensure all of the “nerdy” things get done that make the site get indexed properly with Google. Things like meta tags, image tags, schema markups, sitemaps, etc.
WHAT NEXT: You can’t measure what you don’t track, so after that, I’ll place the sites into my instance of Google Search Console, which is essentially the analytics dashboard I use to make sure my work gets ranked in Search. I’m in there every day watching things and submitting “new crawl requests” to Google when I put new content online.
What's does an appropriate contract look like? Let's Ask CHATGPT:

IF IT WERE ME, I'D GO...
MONTH-TO-MONTH or FTE:
Getting SEO results does take time. I’m great at creating the right content and placing it correctly, but to a large degree results are tied to the almighty Google and its rules from day to day. For that reason, I don’t recommend the hourly per-project Rate lane down below. It wouldn’t be cost-efficient based on the tedious time it takes to optimize, test, and monitor SEO results.
Obviously, I offer more than just SEO work and the way I work solo, I can handle all the necessary design, branding, content development, video creation, social media that goes into. Depending on how far you want to take that, I’d recommend a minimum 3 month contract to get the sites repositioned for success in Search.
We should also talk about “cheating” the search results in the meantime with a small paid SEM budget so your names will at least come up in results until we can get them there organically. I don’t think it’d take much of a budget to be effective. Normally, I run those campaigns on your provided credit card (get the miles/points!) and then I invoice you just a percentage of the spend to run it.
Depending on the needs of the businesses (and the budgets, of course), this is where you might want to lock me up for a year as your full-time-equivalent. I would basically be handing all of this and more, with repeat content creation, at a fixed rate. You get me dedicated one full day during the week (currently Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday) for discussion, planning, reporting and development of any immediate assets.
We could also talk about deploying me to Dental and Vet-related events across the country to generate video and content. You keep the assets. You’ll cover my T&E and I quote you a rate for the project separately. You get priority in my calendar relative to my other clients.
