PREPARED WITH LOUD LOVE FOR

PROJECT: WEBSITE
CURRENT CHALLENGE:
Current WordPress website is proof-of-concept only and needs to be revamped with a look-and-feel that will be compelling to potential donors and investors.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- New Branding
- Ability to take donations (HTTPS)
- Responsive Layout (Mobile and Desktop compatible)
- Multimedia visual appeal: Compelling video aerials of before/after fire damage (Maui, LA, etc) – evoking emotion
- Social Media account development and integration (Facebook, Insta, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn) with ongoing content development
- Email List collection?
DISCUSSION NOTES:
- Tim’s cost per hose box ~$1k
- Targeting both “whale” donors and everyday sympathetic citizens
- GoFundMe a possibility
- Eventually could be for-profit AND non-profit
- Not just for rural areas, but also HOAs, Museums, Parks, Commercial Bldgs, etc.
- Concept of a Community Firefighting Effort
LET'S FIX IT!
POSSIBLE SOLUTION (WHAT WOULD RYAN DO?):
Rebuild site from scratch in WordPress with responsive custom Elementor framework and AIOSEO PRO software kit.
WHY: Sometimes its best to start over, especially where you really don’t have a lot of content on the site right now that’s being productive for you.
WHY: From a time standpoint, it’s cost-effective to start fresh vs figure out what’s already happening online behind the scenes and working within its bounds. You’re likely paying around $20/year for the domain name. That won’t change. I don’t know what you’re paying for site hosting and security at Host Gator or if was donated, but a lot of times I’ll save you money on that with Elementor Cloud Pro (my agency hosting account with them). I never mark up web hosting fees. They charge me $200/year to keep a website reliably online with HTTPS, so I just pass that along to you on an invoice once/year. If they ever increase my costs, we’ll discuss it.
WHY: Little-to-no disruption to what you’re currently doing. This puts your initial hard costs at ~$200 to move the sites over to my WordPress environment and get the initial content created and online. That’s about a 3-business-day project for me to complete. The current site would stay live until everything with the one is designed and ready to be switched over.
WHY: WordPress is the CMS standard, especially when it comes to getting Search results. At some point down the line, if I need to hand the site off to you or a staffer, WordPress usually makes for an easy transition there. A lot of people know it and it’s relatively simple to learn the basics.
TIM’S INITIAL FIXED ANNUAL HARD COSTS:
SECURE HOSTING (HTTPS), DOMAIN:
$220 (you’ve already paid $20 for the domain, so $200)
With the site’s technical framework now operating on secure WordPress with custom Elementor and my SEO software kit (thousands of dollars I’m willing to donate), this is where my real work comes in:
STAGE 1 Site Design & Development
WHAT NEXT: Work with Tim to develop a list of keyword search phrases that are relevant to the industry (i.e. “residential firehose boxes”, “residential fire protection”, etc. … key phrases beyond just “Lifeguard”.
WHAT NEXT: Generate web page copy, graphics and video based around those search terms. Place on website and in Social Media platforms
WHAT NEXT: I’ve invested thousands of dollars into SEO tools that I’m willing to donate and utilize to ensure the site is built to succeed in Search. I’ll install an instance of “AIOSEO Pro” behind the site where I’ll use it to ensure all of the “nerdy” things get done that make the site get indexed properly with Google. Things like meta tags, image tags, schema markups, sitemaps, etc. Ensuring the content is set up correctly for organic search results will ultimately payoff in the form of “free traffic” once the site matures (usually a ~6 month process to start seeing Google results).
WHAT NEXT: WHAT NEXT: The site will initially require the following minimum pages: HOME, ABOUT, CONTACT, DONATE w/SITEMAP
WHAT NEXT: Eventually, the site will need to have training materials, how-to videos, possible certification
TIM’S STAGE 1 COSTS: SITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT: $5,000 $3,000
I know you’re working within a limited budget to begin with until additional funds can be raised.
I will discount this for you because I believe in the cause.
STAGE 1: Social Media Account Creation, Branding, & Integration
Will need the following accounts setup and configured with appropriate branded graphic sizing for each:
- FACEBOOK PAGE $500
- INSTAGRAM $500
- YOUTUBE $500
- TIKTOK $500
- LINKEDIN $500
- Accounts will also need to be integrated into new website.
INITIAL SOCIAL MEDIA COSTS: $2,500 $0
I know you’re working within a limited budget to begin with until additional funds can be raised.
I will discount this for you because I believe in the cause.
STAGE 1: Ongoing
You can’t measure what you don’t track, so I’ll place the site into my instance of Google Search Console, which is essentially the analytics dashboard I use to make sure my work gets ranked in Search. I’m in there every day watching things across all the sites I manage, submitting “new crawl requests” to Google when I put new content online that needs to be recognized and indexed by them.
To stay online and healthy, websites need to be monitored and maintained, especially sites collecting donations and possible data. They require regular plugin software updates, database updates and security updates.
With your social media accounts created, we’ll need to start filling them with content on an ongoing basis. IDEAS: Interactive Maps that show fire burn by state, Interactive Maps that show LIFEGUARDS installed by state, Interactive Maps that show fire danger areas by state, Interactive Maps that show “square miles saved” by state by LIFEGUARDS (is there a way to quantify water use that we can measure?)…
New pages, designs and features added to the website:
TIM’S ONGOING COSTS: $75/HR AS NEEDED
Current Google 3-Month Snapshot of PickNRollMedia.com using AIOSEO PRO AND ELEMENTOR ON WORDPRESS (ON GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE):

EXAMPLE OF AIOSEO PRO INSTALLATION ON PICKNROLLMEDIA.COM - THE GREEN, YELLOW AND RED DESIGNATIONS SHOW THE EFFECTIVENESS OF EACH WEB PAGE IN SEARCH FOR THE WEBSITE YOU'RE LOOKING AT RIGHT NOW. WE WOULD DO THE SAME WITH FIRELIFEGUARD.ORG AND USE THE READINGS AND RESULTS TO STEER THE STRATEGY TOGETHER. IT'S PRETTY SIMPLE TO TELL WHAT'S WORKING AND WHAT'S NOT.
